Back - Your chair should support both your lower and upper back and you ought to be in a position to tilt back slightly when seated at your desk.
Height - Your seat height should allow your thighs to be parallel to the earth and your feet to rest flat on the floor. It should also allow your arms to rest comfortably on the desk in front of you.
Stability - A good desk chair will have five points on its base. Your chair can be padded for comfort, but be certain that it is firm enough to support your body.
